I don't think I have listened to this before - three cheers for TDIH. Jerry is consistently dialed in, lots of jammy tunes in the first set. Take a listen....

How anyone can rate a good copy of this show less than 5 is beyond me, but to each...
As I've said in reviews of other copies, this show is a stunner, ... possibly the greatest Dead show ever recorded...at least for the first set and everything before Drums. My favorite Sugaree and Lost/Saint.

not sure what people are talking about when they say standard show , or lackluster 2nd set.
stella blue is frickin great, and give a listen to bertha ... again. that is the must upbeat double picking Jer had done in a while. it might be a standard line-up but not standard run of the mill playing.
sheesh!

I attended this show.
After a few shows at the Garden, we hoped for more magic at Hartford on a Saturday night.
They had the sound down. The mix was ... great, but the show was hit and miss. Highlight for me was China Cat > Rider. We hoped for a big 2nd set, but when Alabama started, we kinda knew it was gonna be standard.
We had this recording a few days after the show. Someone had a great setup for this tape and it still sounds great 25 years later.

I went to this show after seeing them at the Garden and in Boston. The band was on during 1st set, but seemed to lost most of its energy during the 2nd
...
set. Maybe song selection was uninspired.

This ain't too bad. I selected some good tracks from this one too burn. Just listen and wait for Jerry's guitar just to jump out at you. The mix is
...
good. Sugaree, Althea just to name a few. I'd say download it.

Last show before a European tour in spring of 81, this was a very high energy show thanks to a high energy audience. Very dynamic performance that got
...
real loud at times and real quiet at others. listen to peggy o, chinacat rider, passenger, alabama greatest story, ship of fools.

Boy, does this show bring back some great memories of hichin a ride down from Keene State College on a beautiful weekend morning, still buzzing from the
...
Alpha Pi Tau party the night before. The show was seen with a college bud from Connecticut. We went and had a great time at the show. It is great to be able to relive the AUD recording of this, my last Grateful Dead show....
